I think Florence Nightingale argued the hell out of "Nursing is an Art AND a science"... or something to that effect. But if this has been drilled into me from day one, why do I feel this absence from my creativity when I have so much on my mind and so much to do all the time?
This also probably spurred from recieving a crappy mark for the one artistic poster that we had to do for my palliative care assessment, which I frankly worked my ass off for, and was glad for the inspiration. Then, I have to remember that the markers don't have art's behind them either. I've been brought up in this era where art is about expression, and thats exactly what I felt I achieved - I guess its all that matters.
Supposing there is a take home message in this short vlog, I would have to say that art/painting/whatever you'd like to call it dosen't choose people - it's in people. No matter what I do, the creativity will always be with me somehow. I need to channel it via other means, I suppose - that, or set aside more time to do it. Creativity is probably better for the soul than blood gas analysis in some way. I guess I'd better stick to saving people's lives for now, though.
